Designed, Art Directed and expanded the branding from scratch for former UFC Contender and NCAA Wrestling Champion Mark Muñoz. That included the logo and creation of all artwork, promotional materials, website and social media and any all digital marketing materials. Designed everything from fight shirts, keychains, sponsorship packets to the website design and even behind the scenes social media managing. Also worked on The Wrestling Room app for online video learning from the best wrestling coaches around.
Logo process: Creating the branding for UFC Contender Mark Muñoz was a challenge. He was a fighter who already had a strong following and one of the more memorable nicknames around. It was apparent that we had to incorporate a number of items to help represent Mark’s Filipino heritage and the warrior spirit that embodies today’s MMA fighters.
Incorporating the sun from the Philippine’s flag was a no-brainer. Adding the coat of arms tied in two things–the fighting spirit and Mark’s Filipino heritage. Working in the letter “M” proved to be a little bit more difficult until I started playing around with the sharpness of the angle the middle point creates. Once the “M” was formed out of the coat of arms shape, the logo really started to come together.
